“What’s on Your Lips?”

This is one of the questions I get asked on a daily basis – in person & online, so I thought I would share my faves & what I’m wearing on my lips 👇🏼 all in one place.

Day-to-day, here’s what I look for in any lip product:  I want something that emphasizes the shape and color of my natural lips, that I don’t have to reapply every hour, doesn’t wear off into the weird flaky butthole lips we all have experienced & dread, and leaves some sort of color even when it does fade throughout the day.

That is a tall order, I know, and I’ve tried a lot of lip products, but I think I’ve found the perfect everyday, your-lips-but-better combo, FINALLY!  & it’s only 2 steps:

  1. Lipliner: Pat McGrath Labs PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in Buff – line lips (I slightly over-line mine) and fill them in completely
  2. Gloss: Fenty Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow [the OG shade] – apply on top & reapply if necessary (I usually only need to reapply once a day, after lunch)

For those days where even 2 steps is 1 too many, this is my go-to, HOLY GRAIL lip product that I used to buy in BULK on Amazon every few months (but now they don’t have them 😿 so I get them at Walgreens or CVS and for cheaper).  I literally never leave the house without this baby in my bag.

& in case you thought I was exaggerating, this is my actual Amazon order history of these babies. 😹

Keep in mind that certain lip colors may look different on different skin tones and natural lip tones, so if you are fairer than I am, these shades may appear slightly darker on your lips, and if you are darker than I am, these shades may appear slightly lighter on your lips.

I’m always on the lookout for new faves, so comment below with your go-to lip product!
